O'Neill

O’Neill is an established value in the world of sportswear. The brand was a surf and ski wear pioneer and it dominates the market of athletic clothing for men and women. O’Neill guarantees a safe and healthy work environment for all its employees, and became a member of the Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI) in 2009. O’Neill has been complying with BSCI regulations for corporate social responsibility ever since. After the Rana Plaza collapse, the surf brand also signed an international agreement to guarantee the safety in Bangladesh’s factories. In addition, O’Neill carries out stringent checks to ban child labor and other illegal practices from its textile factories.

O’Neill’s love of outdoor sporting stimulates its sustainable and ecological vision, for instance directing its attention to the plastic problem that threatens our oceans. The O’Neill Blue collection consists of sustainable surf wear made from recycled plastic or ‘Bionic’ fibers. The very first collection was made from approximately 200.000 plastic bottles collected on shorelines and beaches worldwide. This is O’Neill’s way of nudging consumers and other companies to make their own sustainable choices.
