Qmilk

The company Qmilch Deutschland GmbH wanted to develop a product that would not only help people, but would also be good for the environment.

The idea for Qmilk fibers arose because founder Anke Domaske wanted to create a textile fiber suitable for allergy sufferers. Her goal became to initiate sustainable innovations and processes, and to take advantage of natural materials.

Qmilk has a unique production process in which milk proteins are transformed into textile fibers. The protein is taken from milk that is no longer suitable for consumption. Just in Germany alone, 1.9 million tons of milk are thrown away each year, while still containing valuable substances. The textile fibers that are thus produced are made of 100% natural and renewable resources and can be used for clothing, interior designing, industrial applications and medical equipment.
