Woron

Danish sisters Arina and Anya Woron gave their last name to the lingerie brand they founded to share their ideas about ‘the perfect underwear’ with the world. Before they had their own label, the first thing these ladies did when they came home from work was taking off their bra (and breathing a little sigh of relief). The Woron sisters wanted to create underwear that elicited the exact opposite response: bras that are the first thing you want to put on and the last thing you take off.

Arina and Anya want their customers to be comfortable, without, however, compromising on sustainability. They try to reduce the carbon footprint of every Woron item, and their timeless basics (designed in a typical minimalist, Scandinavian style) can be worn year in year out.

Moreover, Woron is a vegan brand that did not have to think twice about deleting leather, wool, silk and other animal products from its list of ingredients. What the label uses instead? Modal (made from wood), organic cotton and recycled polyamide (made from waste like fishing nets and other ocean plastic). Most Woron basics see the light in an Oeko-Tex certified family company in Hungary. They arrive at the customer’s doorstep in a recycled paper box, accompanied by – in the case of underwear – a wash bag that is 100% organic cotton to make sure the lingerie survives every wash cycle.
