Aluc

Aluc (Germany) uses high-quality leftover fabrics to design sustainable clothes. The initiative was born out of the realization that overproduction within the fashion industry poses a major threat to the environment.

By working with upcycling techniques, Aluc creates sustainable collections, for instance making men’s shirts using only pre-consumer waste (meaning fabric surplus generated during the design and production phases - before the clothes even end up with the consumer, that is).

Aluc’s products are characterized by eco-friendliness right from the design phase. Because shirt collars tend to wear out the fastest, Aluc created detachable collars for shirts. This enables clients to change styles every now and then, without having to buy completely new pieces. All the clothes are produced honestly, transparently, and locally, in Germany.
