back Fibersort - separating textiles based on fiber type

Fibersort is a technology that enables the industry to identify and separate textiles based on fiber type, which obviously facilitates the recycling process.

Fibersort was created by Valvan Baling Systems in collaboration with Circle Economy.

Valvan is a Belgian company that specializes in hydraulic presses and related equipment for fibers, textile waste, plastic and paper.

Circle Economy is a co-op that develops projects for the circular economy based on new technologies, business models and collaborations.

The Fibersort machine is being further developed as a part of SCIRT, a European Horizon 2020 project.
