OrganoClick is a Swedish cleantech company that markets water-repellent and sustainable textile coating. Inspired by nature, OrganoClick came up with their OrganoTex coating, which uses plant-based catalysts to bind water-repellent molecules to the textile fibers. The catalysts create a rough textile surface that the molecules can attach themselves to. The same principle can be found in nature’s very own Lotus flower.

OrganoTex coating is free from hazardous chemicals and all materials used are completely biodegradable.

Chang-Ho Fibre, a Taiwanese textile manufacturer, applied the technique to textile made from recycled PET. The Swedish brand Filippa K, in turn, was the first to use the coating in a fashion collection.
