The Root Collective is a Guatemalan brand that produces handmade shoes, jewellery and accessories on a small scale, in collaboration with equally small-scale enterprises where old, artisanal techniques still reign supreme. The brand opposes the methods of mass production by focusing on handcrafted quality items and the quality of life of their producers.

Contrary to the regular fashion industry, which employs workers from poor countries in terrible working conditions and low-paid jobs because they have little other choice, The Root Collective says no to underpayment, dangerous working conditions and other labor violations.
