JRRM is an acronym of ‘J’ai retourné la robe de ma mère’, and that nicely sums up how founder Stéphanie Moffar goes about her business. This Belgian designer’s very first project consisted of transforming her mother’s and sister’s old dresses into new items, and she’s still on the upcycle path today. Every one of her unique creations is handmade, either by Moffar herself or by the seamstresses that learn the ropes in her studio. Mass production is clearly not her thing; rather, JRRM is all about reducing waste and being socially relevant!
