Keep thinking of reducing waste to the absolute minimum throughout your entire process. Be it during the design, pattern drawing or production: you can always map waste streams in order to try and optimize them.

When you do create waste, try to separate it as good as possible and to store it in individual containers or buckets. This makes it easier to see if you can use this surplus material in other ways or perhaps discard/recycle … it in an environmentally friendly way.
