Some Australian creative adventures developed the Scrubba wash bag to wash their clothes easily and without electricity whilst travelling. Initially their target audience were campers but the product seemed to be very popular with students, travelling businessmen and cruise ship passengers. Inside the light, waterproof and ecological Scrubba-bag you will find a thin washboard. The modern adaptation of the washboard helps to clean your clothes in no time with a minimal mess. How does it work?
-
Add water, cleaning liquid and clothes to the Scrubba™ wash bag
-
Remove excess air from the bag
-
Open cap and squeeze valve to expel air from the Scrubba™ wash bag
-
Press down and rub clothes against the Scrubba™ wash bag’s unique internal flexible washboard for 30 seconds for a quick traveller wash or for 3 minutes for a machine quality wash.
-
Unclip and unroll the Scrubba™ wash bag’s seal. Remove dirty water from the Scrubba™ wash bag. Rinse clothes with fresh water in the Scrubba™ wash bag or under a running tap or shower

-
The Scrubba wash bag uses less water and energy and is the easiest and most effective way to hand wash clothes when traveling
The American company Dolfi found a solution for sustainable washing when you're on the go or when you're at home. Dolfi developed a hand-sized device with ultrasonic technology, which complements your washing machine. However it does facilitate washing delicate items that require a sensitive washing
-
It has the size of a phone and easily fits in a suitcase, toiletries bag or handbag
-
When you place Dolfi in the water with your dirty clothes, its' ultrasonic vibrations will remove the dirt.
-
The system is very useful for washing delicate or hand wash clothing.
-
Dolfi uses less water than a normal washing machine, thus you save a lot of money on your energy bill.
